Nancy Culhane, MS, LMFT

Nancy Culhane is a licensed marriage and family therapist, based primarily in Marin County, California.  Since 1982, her clinical practice has included individuals, couples and families.  Nancy's work often includes psychoeducation about relational neuroscience and how we can rewire our brains for more satisfaction and positive change. Sessions include support for clients to develop and practice relational skills to enhance joy, meaning and connection in their lives.  Clients often enter counseling in hopes of sorting through changes that have occurred, decisions that need to be made, or reactions to an event or series of events.  Nancy's primary goal is to listen carefully and ask gently challenging questions to help you identify and discern what is inside of you.  Once feelings, thoughts and intentions have been named, counseling can help you discover strategies and ways to manage situations more compassionately and productively. Outside her office, Nancy enjoys family life, yoga practice, travel, and trail walking through open space around the San Francisco Bay area and beyond.
