About Cori Brittain

I knew I wanted to get into a career path that would make a difference in people’s lives. This interest led me to study mental health counseling and eventually a full time job. As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the greater Cincinnati area, I am committed to the well-being of all my patients and go above and beyond to cater to their needs.

I truly care for all of my patients, and work diligently to help find them the answers they seek. Since 2010, I have worked with a variety of patients dealing with circumstances that are unique to their lives. In the past I have worked in community mental health as an outpatient and school-based therapist.  I have helped my patients develop the tools they need to better manage their mental health and gain control over mood and anxiety disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, adjustment disorders and post traumatic stress disorder.

I collaborate with my patients to establish a therapeutic relationship through unconditional positive regard, compassion and respect to create a safe and supportive space to communicate freely.  My counseling style includes strength based, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution focused approaches however I am able to tailor each session to help individuals reach their therapeutic goals.  I also have experience with play therapy techniques and am trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
