About Rose Stimmel
** Effective online & in-person therapy. Private & confidential. **
You've taken a brave first step in looking for help. Maybe you've been feeling constantly on edge, unable to relax, your mind racing, and unable to focus on the present moment. Perhaps you've been feeling sad, down, or tired. Or maybe you've suffered from past painful events and find yourself struggling to move forward. Anxiety, depression, trauma - you don't need to suffer alone anymore. Taking the first step can be hard. Teletherapy can make that easier - bringing the therapy session to you, in the comfort of home.
I am a licensed psychologist offering online & in-person therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, and other life stressors. I am accepting clients for online therapy located anywhere in New York State or New Jersey.
Research shows that teletherapy is equally as or more effective than in-person work. I use evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based therapy. I offer individual DBT skills training, as well as DBT-based therapy and coaching for clients already enrolled in an outside DBT group.
Don't have time or childcare to get to therapy, or worried about privacy? Online therapy may be right for you. For anxiety disorders, teletherapy offers the advantage of "bringing" the therapist into your home to conduct exposures with you.
