About Daniel Vazquez

Since I started practicing 10 years ago, I decided to specialize in couples therapy. Of all the types of therapy, couples therapy is the one that most intrigued me and the one that finally fascinated me the most. Maybe because of the challenge it meant. Haley went so far as to say that couples therapy is the most difficult of all and he was right. Likewise, working with couples led me to study the psychology of masculinity and femininity; their differences with one another and the way in which both essences are related. Working with couples implies, as a consequence, working with families, adolescents and individuals since the majority of marital unions have children who are often adolescents. Also, the couple is composed of individuals who often need to address issues beyond their relationship, more personal issues with those who need support. I have a degree in family psychology from CIDH University at 2005 and have received training in individual, marriage and family therapy from international teachers such as Cloé Madanes, Michelle Weiner-Davis and Anthony Robins. I completed an MBA in 2014 at Cetys University which allows me to give advice on organizational issues, as well as business, executive and personal coaching. My therapeutic approach is mainly solution-focused therapy, which over the years I have been complementing with Bowen's family systems therapy, NLP techniques and strategic intervention. I'm the creator of the online marriage course Love Is Not Enough (which for the moment is only in Spanish) designed to develop the interpersonal skills necessary to build a successful marriage and family relationship; and the Guide for Recovering from Infidelity (also in Spanish) which has helped many of my clients strugling with that situation. I also impart the Diploma in Solution-Focused Therapy and Couple Therapy directed to mental health professionals and other professionals who work with marriages.
