About Angelynn Hermes
I support adults who are struggling with intimacy, trauma, relationships, and sexuality or gender to heal and build the lives and relationships they long for. If you have experienced trauma, chronic stress, or loss you may wonder if the impact of the past will ever fade. You may feel lonely, isolated, or overly dependent in relationships, and long for more fulfilling connection. Perhaps all the pieces of your life seem in place, but you still feel plagued by self doubt. You may have worked hard to heal past trauma, and hope therapy can support you to integrate mind-body resiliency or take on the next challenge.
I have over seven years of experience in rape crisis & domestic violence services, harm reduction, therapy for trauma survivors & their families, LGBTQ partner abuse services, and community mental health. I draw from EMDR, somatics, mindfulness, DBT, family systems theory, and an underlying depth psychology approach to make therapy work for you. I am competent in and committed to affirming and supportive services for queer, trans, LGB, non-monogamous/kinky people and sex workers.
I offer a supportive, collaborative, warm and gently direct style of therapy. I bring careful attention and sharp focus to the issues you are facing. If you are ready to dive deep, change what is no longer serving you, and generate the life you long to live, reach out to me to get started.
