About Jo Eckler

I have spent over a decade helping civilians and veterans build new lives after trauma. I have also helped clients with a wide variety of issues. In addition, I have worked with transgender and nonbinary/genderqueer/fluid clients in various stages of transition since 2003, including doing evaluations for letters for gender-affirming procedures like surgery, hormones, and gender marker changes. My clients come from all walks of life, including the yoga community, earth-centered spiritual paths such as paganism, the kink/BDSM community, polyamory, and the queer community. Many of my clients are creatives, artists, and/or geeks.

My practice focuses heavily on mindfulness training because it is a foundation for all other work. As a trained yoga teacher, if clients are interested, I may also incorporate breathing techniques, mediation, or gentle movements to support a client's goals.

I enjoy helping clients move through the process of healing from trauma, as well as breaking free from the hold that thoughts and emotions can have on us. My ideal client is ready to make some changes, even though they may not know exactly how, and willing to do the work in and outside of session that is necessary to move towards a life that feels more meaningful and alive. (*Please note, I DO NOT accept insurance. However, I offer sliding scale options--visit my website for details.)
