About Philippa Weitz

Philippa Weitz, is Training Director of PWTAC@DEMY - Training & CPD for online counselling and psychotherapy. She is a qualified teacher, trainer and psychological counsellor with more than 25 years in the mental health sector. She is qualified as an online therapist with a Diploma in Online Counselling, as well as being qualified as an online supervisor with a Diploma in Online Therapeutic Supervision. In addition to her lead role within PWTAC@DEMY she is also Clinical & Security Advisor at HealthBridge Technology, and Director of UK Counselling Online and Online Counselling 4 Brits. Philippa is also Standards and Ethics Officer for ACTO - the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online and advises Private Practice Hub on its specialist section - the online hub. Philippa's specific interests in working therapeutically online include the success and efficacy of the online therapeutic alliance and how this is underpinned with security and confidentiality for the client. She is author/editor of Psychotherapy 2.0: where Psychotherapy and Technology Meet. (Karnac 2014) and is currently planning a further volume on the therapeutic relationship online.
