Dr. Teresa Collett is a licensed psychologist in the state of Washington (Lic.# PY60107671) and a licensed Marriage and Family therapist in California (LMFT #02548).
For over 20 years she has worked with children, adults, and families in crisis and in a variety of settings including family and juvenile courts, drug court, foster care, groups homes, state and federal run community mental health facilities, prisons, outpatient behavioral health, military, and in private practice.
Dr. Collett provides therapy services utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify their limiting beliefs, focusing on identifying treatment goals, completing tasks called “homework” between sessions and developing effective, usable tools to enjoy a better life. She strongly believes we can learn to control our thoughts and behaviors in order to feel better. She is a therapist specializing in treating anxiety disorders, including social anxiety, generalized anxiety, and panic disorder. Other specialty areas include abuse, sexual abuse and controlling relationships including domestic abuse and how it is impacting families and the patient/child relationship.
