You Can Overcome Anxiety
It's normal to feel a little (or a lot) unsure about therapy. But believe it or not, you are stronger than you think, and you can overcome anxiety. Part of my job is to help you learn to trust in yourself and your ability to make good decisions. Anxiety can rob you of happiness and make you feel out of control. Together, we'll get you back on track and feeling in charge of your life.
I'm Not Just a Therapist
Anxiety, perfectionism and depression...I'm well-acquainted with all of them. I've been on the "other side of the couch" and always try to keep in mind how much courage it takes to reach out for help.
What It's Like To Work With Me
I'm very down to earth, and I want you to feel comfortable and supported throughout this process.
I will ask questions to get to know and understand you better, especially in the first few sessions, and I encourage you to do the same. It's important that we're a good fit. If I think I can't help you achieve your goals, or if you feel that way, I'll help you find someone who can better meet your needs.
Therapy can be difficult at times, and I will challenge you to step out of your comfort zone. Same-old, same-old is what led you here in the first place, right?
We will laugh. Humor is a therapeutic tool that I wholeheartedly believe in!
