About Lindsay Buvel

Lindsay approaches therapy with a sense-of-humor and directness that allows clients the space to grow in a meaningful and intentional way. Lindsay’s multifaceted experience working in inpatient hospitals, partial hospitalization programs, and intensive outpatient programs has afforded her the opportunity to treat mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and binge eating disorder with children, adolescents and adults. Lindsay uses an integrative approach, comprised of CBT, DBT, ACT, and ERP, that aims to improve the relationship you have with your thoughts and feelings. Lindsay’s passion for therapy and education lead her to become the Director of Clinical Training in addition to providing supervision to new clinicians at her previous practice in Chicago. Lindsay believes that we must all do our part to encourage each other to grow and have compassion for one another by utilizing our unique experiences and resources. Lindsay believes that there are endless opportunities for growth within painful experiences and uses those opportunities to help you live a life you value. Lindsay believes the mind is a beautiful and powerful part of each human when given the care and nurturing needed. Through these experiences, she learned that every person experiences pain and that every person is deserving of a meaningful life. Lindsay lives by the mantra, “figure out what you care about and then care about it.”
