About Maryann Mathai
If you are struggling with issues related to anxiety, depression, grief, trauma/ptsd, or major life changes, you don't have to hold it alone anymore. You may be so overwhelmed that it's impossible to soothe the pain or heal. I work with clients who feel the agonizing weight of depression or the constant hum of anxiety and worry. I specialize in helping survivors of neglect, abuse, assault or partner violence find freedom and relief. My practice is centered on the belief that healing happens when your painful experiences are held with care and compassion.
My therapeutic approach is trauma informed, relational, and experiential. I am here to help you process emotions, reframe your perspective, develop your strengths, and teach tools to eliminate symptoms. With curiosity & compassion, we will explore the parts of you that feel conflicted. I'll guide you as you reconnect with yourself and the world again.
ONLINE THERAPY: For those who are social distancing, have busy schedules, challenging symptoms, or simply want more comfort as they explore painful issues, I also offer sessions online as long as you are a resident of Ohio, New York, or Connecticut. *To learn more about me and schedule a free consultation, please visit my website.
