I qualified as a social worker 34 years ago (and became a clinical social worker in 2007) and worked in a variety of settings throughout my career. Highlights include a family counselling organisation right across the span of my career, addiction treatment centres, forensic and mediation services, to name a few. I then went into private practice where I do all of the above, including employee wellness, and a range of issues and challenges that face people on a daily basis. I enjoy working with couples and helping them explore who they are both as individuals as well as how they fit with their partner and what the stumbling blocks might be that stop openness and a flowing communication. I work both with understanding how their history might affect them, as well as using practical ways to help them achieve real and lasting change. I also work with people who have come to a place where they feel stuck and unable to move out of that, and hope them find what the obstacles are to them finding their way to a more authentic and flourishing life. I have experience in both depth therapy, an understanding of psychiatric conditions and an appreciation of the body and how the body, mind and emotions are connected. So I like to see you wholistically and draw on different models of health and well being so as to facilitate change. I've worked in various committees back in South Africa but am now starting a whole new chapter of life due to having immigrated to Israel where I hope to connect to new and dynamic work groups and possibilities.
