About Jonathan Holmsten
Jonathan is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 20 years of experience in the psychology/counseling field. He has a master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling, and is currently working on his dissertation to obtain a PhD in Psychology. As a pastoral counselor he can value and work with any faith tradition. He has worked in psychiatric hospitals, elementary and medical schools, and private practice. He enjoys co-journeying with clients through issues of stress, anger, anxiety, trauma, depression, and marital/family issues. He believes client feedback is essential for positive therapeutic work and prioritizes client input in setting goals and finding solutions. In addition, Jonathan is a distance credentialed counselor (DCC), ethically and skillfully providing counseling over the internet or phone. He works with people struggling with issues such as pornography and sexual issues. Jon leads anger management workshops, is trained in EMDR for trauma work and Voice Dialogue for exploring our many different ‘selves’.
