About Erika Cruz
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor II and a Master Addiction Counselor in the state of Georgia. I work with adults (18+), and have extensive experience treating a variety of issues such as anxiety disorders, depression, family problems, extensive trauma histories, alcohol or drug addiction and other difficult issues. Through my personal experience and the experience of people I have worked with, I believe that we all have an "inner healer". Often we have lost touch with that resource and need guidance in reconnecting to our deepest resources.
My counseling style is warm and engaging. My approach is culturally sensitive and collaborative with clients. I have experience and training in many different modalities and areas of psychotherapy. I also believe in the use of respectful humor and laughter as two of the most wonderful and connecting aspects of life, and especially in navigating difficult situations. I feel it's important to form a close connection with clients, and I am willing to share some of my own personal experiences to enable that. Using these different influences along with your goals for therapy, we will begin to move forward. I love being a therapist and feel so fortunate I have the opportunity to help people find the sense of happiness and peace they were meant to have. I offer a safe virtual space to share your story.
