About Nicole Torrence

I'm glad you're here. It can feel uneasy to reach out to a psychologist, and you deserve to take time for yourself. I thoughtfully assist clients in staying engaged in their personal and professional lives and becoming their most fulfilled selves by building resilience, identifying and promoting strengths, and improving psychological well-being and values-congruent living. I believe that psychotherapy is most beneficial when you feel understood and supported by your therapist. I strive to create a safe space to do this work, which is best facilitated by empathy and privacy, trust, and inclusivity, as well as individualized and collaborative care. I am an expert in health and geriatrics and specialize in the treatment of adults who are dealing with depression, anxiety, life transitions, multicultural issues, grief, as well as work stress and burnout. I use evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and humanistic interventions to help you achieve your goals. Additionally, I consider the biological, psychological, socio-cultural, environmental, and developmental factors that impact your unique experience. I am accepting new clients. If you are a potential new client, feel free to call or email: [email protected] to schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation or to ask any questions you may have about the services I offer.
