About Valentina Barrios

I am a psychologyst specialized in cognitive-behavioural therapy. I consider as as mental health professional that is very important to have the ethical obligation on having a permanent update in evidence-based treatments. In other words, treatments in which the scientific evidence have proven to be effective for the client’s problem. I am a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain and also of the International Association for Cognitive Psychotherapy. Also, I am a teacher at the University of Buenos Aires. I propose treatments focussed on the goal which is agreed with the client and specific interventions that aim to the maintenance factors of the client’s problem. I provide short or long term treatments with clients, taking into consideration the different levels of complexity of different difficulties and presentations. I am also a member of tthe International Association for the Study of Pain.
