Selecting a therapist is a very important decision and I thank you for taking the time to consider my professional services. I am licensed by the state of Georgia to provide counseling as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have completed a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, as well as a master’s degree in counseling, both from Clark Atlanta University. I have over 10 years of professional experience working with individuals and couples in a variety of settings which have included state government providing forensic counseling, and in private practice providing pre-marital counseling. I have extensive experience working with individuals with self-esteem issues, adjustment disorders, substance abuse, relationship issues, career issues, women’s issues, parenting, and various mood disorders such as depression and anxiety. My role as a therapist is to facilitate a safe and judgement free environment for personal growth through introspection and healthy coping. Clients are supported in identifying individualized goals with healthy, realistic, time specific methods in which to accomplish those goals. I utilize solution-focused, existential, and person-centered approaches in treating clients. I pride myself in delivering professional, attentive, and knowledgeable services and I am passionate about the services I provide. Clients who have worked with me have often described my personality as very outgoing, warm, goal oriented, and humorous (when appropriate). I believe that no matter how long you have struggled or what obstacles you have experienced these things do not define your future. You are in control of your own story; the power is always yours.
