About Jessica Buchholz

I enjoy helping overfunctioners live a more balanced life. Another way to think of it is if you struggle with perfectionism and overachieving to the point of stress/exhaustion or anxiety/depression, I can help you learn to love and accept yourself as you are and be okay with using self-care and asking for help when you need it! I am also passionate about working with teens preparing for or adjusting to college and helping people manage tough life transitions, overcome self-criticism, learn when and how to say ‘no’ (set boundaries) so that you can start saying ‘yes’ to yourself, and work through current or past stressful situations. Because you are unique, your therapeutic process should also be unique. I will work with you to meet your own individual needs and goals within a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment. Overall, you may regain a sense of stability by exploring your identity and increasing your self-esteem, ability to cope, and level of trust in yourself and others. I also use group therapy to help those with social anxiety or relationship concerns, depression, trauma, and more. Modality and techniques aside, if you’re ready to make some big changes, then I’m the right therapist for you. Let’s dig deep and do this together. I would be honored to be a part of your journey.
