Michele Comer, MA, Resident in Counseling
About Michele Comer
Hello, my name is Michele Comer. I love teens and young adults and have been working with them for the past 17 years as a youth leader, lay counselor, and now professional counselor. My journey to professional counseling began while I was working with and listening to the struggles of these young people. I realized that I wanted to learn how to better help them and give them the skills they needed to achieve peace and healing.
I am fascinated with all of the new research emerging in the field of neuroscience and I enjoy applying that knowledge as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Core Model, and Narrative Therapy when working with those that are experiencing anxiety, depression, identity issues, and relationship difficulties. In addition, I am also seeking training and certification in Crisis and Trauma Counseling. Trusting a clinician to be a safe space to share your innermost feelings, struggles, and fears can be intimidating. I would be honored to be chosen to walk with you on your journey to healing.
