About Pui-Yan Katie Leung
Katie is a Child and Family Therapist, providing clinical support to children and families who have social, emotional and/or behavioural needs. In private practice, Katie supports adults with anxiety, depression, relationships concerns, grief and trauma.
Katie was part of a mental health walk-in clinic team where children and adolescents drop in for therapy sessions. Children walk-in with a wide range of needs, such as, fear, OCD, ADHD, depression, loneliness, anxiety, worries, school issues, bullying, peer conflicts, low self-esteem, trauma, abuse, self harm and thoughts of suicide.
Katie is known for her warm and empathetic approach by being fully present, actively listening, and in tune to things you might not notice. She works collaboratively with you using narrative, solutions focused brief and family therapy.
Having worked at a mental health program that supports Deaf and hard of hearing children, Katie is an expert in supporting individuals with hearing loss.
