Tara Devineni, LICSW, LCSW

Tara is a licensed clinical social worker in both Pennsylvania and Washington DC and has been working in the field of social work for over 10 years. She received her Masters in Social Work from Columbia University and completed post-graduate training at The Washington School of Psychiatry in Washington, DC. She has extensive experience working with both adolescents and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and cross-cultural challenges. Her experience working within both acute and ambulatory care medical settings has expanded her expertise to include helping those coping with chronic illness, grief & loss, and end of life issues. Tara is deeply fulfilled by the work she does and honors the experiences and strengths of each individual she works with. Her approach to therapy is guided by her education and training in psychodynamic and relational psychotherapy. Through her work with clients she provides a safe space for memories and emotions to be explored and works with them to gain a deeper understanding of how these experiences continue to shape them today. Together she works with her clients to develop new coping skills and bring an enhanced level of self-awareness to their lives.
