About Joanne Byrne
I am a fully qualified Counselling Psychotherapist. I hold a BSc Hons Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Middlesex University. I am currently undertaking a MSc in CyberPsychology.
My therapeutic approach is holistic and integrative drawing on various evidence-based theories and techniques including Humanistic, Psychodynamic and (CBT) Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
I am passionate about supporting clients to explore, understand and manage their psychological, emotional and relational well-being. I have a specialist interest in supporting those who are primary care givers with a child or family member with additional needs or disability. I am passionate about supporting parents through the complex emotions experienced by those living with Autism. My knowledge of Autism is both personal and professional.
I provide a safe and non-judgmental space where thoughts, feelings and experiences can be explored. This provides an opportunity to get to know yourself and gain the knowledge and skills for living in a more conscious and informed way. I also currently facilitate support groups for adults with Dyslexia.
I adheres to the Professional Code of Ethics as upheld by the Irish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (IACP).
