About Alana Stewart

Alana Stewart is a Registered Art Psychotherapist who values the lived experience of her clients and, at the heart of her approach, being a person-centered therapist. Whether it is an experience of living with a disability, chronic illness, mental illness, having lived through a trauma, or other experience, Alana offers you an open and validating space, open to all ages. Alana helps you to engage in a creative process where you can explore your experiences, find your inner-strengths and navigate through "stuck" emotions to find your way towards inner-wellbeing. Alana has over 6 years experience as a front line healthcare worker within mental health support, out of home youth care and disability support roles. She is passionate about supporting adults and children to overcome mental health challenges and to find their own meaning, purpose and inner-wellbeing using Art Psychotherapy. She has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Masters in Art Therapy and was in tertiary education for a total of 7 years. She runs a private face to face practice in Melbourne Victoria and and offers online creative psychotherapy to people of all ages. Due to her younger age (late 20s) she finds she is particularly able to form meaningful therapeutic bonds with adolescents and youth and has a special interest in trauma and mood issues.
