About Kitty McCormick
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has avidly worked with children and families for over 20 years. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California in 1996, with a concentration in mental health practice with individuals, families, and groups. I have extensive experience in the Los Angeles Unified School District and other therapeutic school settings, working with at-risk children, adolescents, and young adults. I have worked collaboratively with child protective services, the County of Los Angeles Probation Department (Juvenile Services), and numerous community service agencies throughout L.A. County to assist and support clients through challenging life situations. I have also worked numerous years in private practice addressing the needs of clients challenged by anxiety and depression. Personally identifying with the Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) trait, I provide service and support to clients who also have the trait.
