Natika Shewry, LMHC
About Natika Shewry
I work with people struggling with a variety of life issues such as anxiety, depression, grief/loss, chronic pain, difficult life transitions, sexual assault/abuse, gender identity, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder/Complex Trauma. My treatment focus is Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These are evidence-based behavioral therapies that give you tools to deal effectively with your struggles. During our sessions, we will work as a team and I will guide you through different techniques.
I believe in a holistic, eclectic approach that fits each unique individual. Everyone is different and no single treatment approach will be effective for everyone. We will work collaboratively to set goals and find solutions. Practice outside of sessions is an important aspect of the therapy I do. I will give you strategies to work on in your daily life. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation that gives us the opportunity to see if we might make a good therapeutic team. I work with individuals ages 13 and up.
