About Caroline Johanson
When your job is to help others (medical, mental health, LEO, first responders, caregivers), you feel an expectation to be able to handle it all. You start to hide the stress and mental burdens you carry from loved ones. This creates bigger rifts, resentment, and feeling more isolated. It becomes hard to explain what’s going on to others, and you find that you are sharing less with your coworkers. You worry that showing cracks will mean weakness or an inability to handle what is on your plate. Therapy can be the place where you let out all your anger, fear, sadness without shame and start to work toward feeling whole again.
Teletherapy offers you the chance to have therapy with a skilled provider that is not necessarily in your neighborhood. This increases your sense of privacy and decreases the need to make your professional network smaller. It also provides you the ability to get your therapy session in when it is convenient for you. Your session can fit within your schedule.
My experience with Veterans, LEO, first responders, and caregivers has given me insight into your isolating daily life that can often feel thankless and sometimes like a burden. I work with you to feel less alone, decrease your daily stress, and increase your enjoyment of life and time with loved ones. Together we can work toward your goals of happiness.
